Today our group took a closer look at the design and presentation of our blog page and agreed that it needed to be arranged in a more organized manner. Thus, we extracted information from previous blog postings such as video links, websites, and curriculum outcomes and added these as gadgets. This makes these components more accessible to users of the blog. We also discussed and planned where we would add other components of our project on the blog page. We worked on further development of one of the subtopics of our project, alternatives to plastic. The development of this subtopic led us to research some alternative materials to plastic. This proved to be quite interesting in that we found a TED video that demonstrated how to use mushrooms as the basic component to making an alternative material to plastic. This material is used to make protective corners for furniture in preparation for shipping. We also found many other websites on alternative materials to plastic which we provided access to from our blog page.
We started work on the task analysis of doing a blog page -- wow! the skills involved. We will continue with this the next time we meet.
