It was another very productive day for our group. We worked on the brainstorming web putting in details. We figured out how to link a branch of our brainstorming web to our project overview web. Inspiration is just awesome to use!! I've had some previous exposure to this program but haven't had time to really explore with it; so, I'm really enjoying that opportunity now. We also created a group blog for this project with all three of us added as authors. Even though we added all three of us as authors, we quickly realized that I was the only one with administrative privileges and; thus, had to go back and grant administrative privileges to Carl and Christine. We were able to import our project overview web onto the blog page. We collaboratively wrote a synopsis of project based learning for the blog page. We also added a picture of our group to the blog. The blog page is starting to take shape. This kind of learning is one of the big pluses for me with this class in that we 'learn by doing' or 'making mistakes and learning from them'. To me, this is real learning and not just memorization. As I'm reflecting on today's class in writing this blog, I realize that this 'learning by doing' is exactly what we are expecting students to do in this project based learning. This experience helps me realize how beneficial this type of learning is and also motivates me to see this project through to the end.
